<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Daniel:<\/strong> Small, agile companies in particular are usually manageable and could actually prepare themselves well.<br \/>\nBut they have little room for maneuver and everything is up to the boss.<br \/>\nMedium-sized companies with between 50 and 250 employees usually have a higher degree of organization, especially a salaried CFO, and they have it under control.<br \/>\nAfter all, the CFO is also paid to increase the company\u2019s profitability.<br \/>\nThese companies also have negotiating power, unlike small companies or us private individuals.    <\/p>\n<h3>What distinguishes us private individuals or a family from a company when it comes to budget planning?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Daniel:<\/strong> I strongly advocate understanding family finances like a small company.<br \/>\nCompanies are also productive social systems and are made up of people.<br \/>\nThe big difference is that the life cycle of us humans is different to that of companies and we have to align our budget planning accordingly.  <\/p>\n<h3>So, what can we do within our family and our maneuvering space to prepare for the January slump?<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Questioning the consumer frenzy:<\/strong> Of course we should make ourselves comfortable in the warmth and enjoy Christmas.<br \/>\nAt the same time, we can become aware of the consumer frenzy instead of automatically joining in.<br \/>\nWho do I really want to meet up with for a mulled wine aperitif or Christmas dinner this year?<br \/>\nDo I really have to give everyone a present?<br \/>\nPerhaps one or two expensive things can be canceled or replaced by an activity in January.    <\/li>\n<li><strong>Plan your spending:<\/strong> not just for December, but more importantly for January too.<br \/>\nIf I know what\u2019s coming up in January, I can weigh up my spending much better in December.<br \/>\nI\u2019m also less tempted to spend all my money this year as if there\u2019s no next year.<br \/>\nAfter all, I\u2019ve made myself aware that there\u2019s still a lot to experience in January.<br \/>\nI can also juggle and plan less spending in January now.<br \/>\nMaybe I won\u2019t go skiing again until February.     <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After all, we all want to have a relaxed Christmas season \u2013 and a relaxed start to the year without a January slump!<\/p>\n<p><sml-c2a-download download=\"budgetplan-mit-spassquote\" title=\"How to keep your budget under control\" link-title=\"Zum Budgetplan\" description=\"Grunds\u00e4tzlich hilft es zu wissen, wie viel man ausgibt.
