Data protection regulations
1. general data protection provisions
The privacy policy applies to all Smolio websites (hereinafter referred to simply as website(s), the respective services or Smolio). We assume no liability for compliance with data protection regulations for third-party websites linked to Smolio. Data protection concerns personal data, i.e. all information relating to an identified or identifiable (natural or legal) person. This includes information such as first name, surname, title, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and similar details. All data is processed in accordance with current data protection legislation. Personal data is collected where it is required for the service, offers, etc. or for the fulfillment of a contractual or legal obligation of Smolio. By using our websites and providing personal data, you agree that Smolio may collect and evaluate your data for marketing purposes and that you have understood and accepted the data protection provisions.
2. communication with Smolio
Communication with our websites is encrypted. When communicating with us by e-mail, data may circulate across borders, even if the sender and recipient are located in Switzerland. The confidentiality of data transmitted by e-mail is therefore not guaranteed.
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, we will store the information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
If you contact us via social media (e.g. Facebook Messenger), the respective terms of use of the service apply. We use Api.ai for communication via chatbot. Your conversation data is generally anonymized by the services, but processed outside of Switzerland. It can be viewed and analyzed by the service provider.
Please keep your ID and password, which give you access to your user account, confidential. We assume that you know how to protect your passwords and your devices from unauthorized access. Smolio is not liable for errors in data transmission and/or unauthorized access by third parties or similar undesirable events.
3. confidentiality
The data you provide when opening a user account on our website will be treated in strict confidence. You agree that the data you provide may be processed by Smolio and may also be transmitted to service providers abroad while maintaining confidentiality. Personal data may be passed on within Smolio and used to contact you at a later date to inform you about offers and news from Smolio.
Within Smolio, your personal data is transmitted and stored in an environment that is protected (e.g. by firewalls). Smolio hosts the data on servers of Swisscom Switzerland Ltd. and relies on data networks that comply with the applicable technical standards. Thus, all necessary and appropriate technical and organizational precautions are taken to conscientiously protect your data from loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation or unauthorized access.
Personal customer data, e.g. from the cockpit, checks and personal notifications, is treated confidentially. Even within Smolio, this data is only made accessible to those employees who need it to fulfill your order. Smolio does not pass on any personal data or personalized user data to third parties. Please also note that the developers of the website, cockpit and checks also have access to your personal data.
We take all reasonable measures to ensure that your personal data cannot be viewed by third parties. Smolio will disclose data to other third parties if there is a legal or regulatory requirement, for example to prosecute and uncover unlawful activities.
4. tracking data & social media
1. google analytics
Smolio uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. A cookie does not give us access to your computer or to information that you do not give us yourself. The purpose of cookies is in particular to analyze the use of this website for statistical evaluation and for continuous improvements so that the website works better and more efficiently on your device.
The information generated by cookies about your use of the website (including IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. However, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
You can deactivate cookies completely or partially in the settings of your browser. You will then still be able to see all publicly accessible information on our website, but you may not be able to navigate the site smoothly or information and services that you want to access may not work. By using the Smolio websites, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described.
2. facebook
Plugins from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated on the Smolio websites. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit the websites, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook Like button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of Smolio to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. As the provider of the websites, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our pages with your Facebook user account, simply log out of your Facebook user account.
3. mautic
This website uses Mautic as a self-hosted open source marketing automation service.
Mautic uses cookies, which are text files that are stored in your browser and enable your use of the websites to be analyzed. The purpose of cookies is in particular to analyze the use of these websites for statistical evaluation and to continuously improve our offer and communication.
Please note that the information generated by Mautic cookies about your use of this website is stored on our own servers within Switzerland and Europe and is not passed on to third parties.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our websites to their full extent.
5. payment services
You can process payments for premium services via credit card. For this purpose, we have integrated the functions of the provider Stripe, Inc, 10 Townsend Street San Francisco, CA 94103, USA into our ordering process. The collection and processing of personal data of persons resident in the EEA and Switzerland is carried out by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland (Stipe Inc and Stripe Payments Europe Ltd collectively hereinafter: “Stripe”).
If you pay by credit card, we will provide Stripe with information about your order, including your credit card number, invoice amount, currency and transaction number. credit card number, invoice amount, currency and transaction number. Your data will only be passed on for the purpose of payment processing with Stripe. Stripe provides some or all of its services from systems located in the United States or other countries outside of Switzerland. This means that payment data may be transferred, processed and stored outside of Switzerland.

6. information, deletion, blocking
You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing as well as the right to correct, block or delete this data at any time.
